India vs South Africa 2020: Three Indian Players Who Might Receive Call-up; Of late, we came across many Indian cricketers showing their class in the domestic cricket. However, for obvious reasons, they are failing to find a spot in the international team. But, this time, most probably, the selectors would think out of the box, to test a few cricketers against south Africa.
As India had a poor stint in New Zealand in ODI format of the game, the Indian National Cricket Team selection panel will look to sort out the problems in the lineup. With a lot of options available for the selection panel, we have figured out three players, who are deserving to receive the Call-up.
Three Indian Players Who Might Receive Call-Up For ODI Series:
3. Rahul Chahar:
The young Rahul Chahar is likely to get the nod for the upcoming series. With Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav playing continuous cricket for a while now, the selection panel might give an opportunity to Rahul Chahar in the upcoming home series against South Africa.
So far, he played only one game for India, in which, he picked up the wicket of former West Indies’ skipper Carlos Brathwaite.
Digging out his IPL numbers, Rahul Chahar has been brilliant for his side, having picked 15 wickets at a brilliant economy of 6.78.
The upcoming series will be a good audition of him as a backup for Yuzvendra Chahal. He already showed his ability to make things happen for him.

2. Prasidh Krishna:
Yet another player, who often received high praises from the experts in the cricketing arena. The flamboyant fast bowler delivered goods for his side in domestic cricket and already played for India A against top-class players in the game of cricket.
On a re-laid Eden Gardens track, Prasidh was sharp and hostile. He had the pace and he had Dinesh Karthik willing to back him to the hilt.
There was a success, but it did not come at a galloping pace. Last year, he was the leader of the pack and even bowled a super over against Delhi Capitals.
In 18 IPL matches, he has picked up 14 wickets with a strike rate of 29 and with an economy rate of 9.32. These numbers are not entirely convincing, but in the two seasons gone by, Prasidh has shown tremendous improvement.
Prasidh is also a known name for Virat Kohli, who often brings his name out whenever the topic is about the rise of the Indian bowling. Kohli gets excited when he sees pace and hence, he took this young man’s name. It remains to be seen if the pacer is indeed the surprise package for India.
“Prasidh Krishna has done well in the domestic arena. It is a great luxury to have this group of bowlers in all formats. Looking at the World Cup, we have enough options,” the captain said recently.
1. Suryakumar Yadav:
There is no denying to the fact that Suryakumar Yadav is one of the most underrated cricketers in Indian cricket.
Time and time again, he grabbed the headlines in media with his brilliant knocks in domestic cricket and Indian Premier League (IPL) but unfortunately never received the call-up to represent the Indian National Cricket Team.
Now, it seems like time has come for Suryakumar Yadav. India would likely rest a few players, who travelled and also missing a finisher in absence of Hardik Pandya.
With Kedar Jadhav hardly showing his class in the middle, Suryakumar could well be the option for India against South Africa in home conditions.
He looked a class apart in Vijay Hazare Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and is currently leading Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy. Suryakumar Yadav has also managed to get rid of the inconsistent tag with his impressive performances this year.
Across the 50-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy, Deodhar Trophy, and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20s, Yadav has scored runs at an average of 93.80 and a strike rate of 163.98.
In the Ranji Trophy, he aggregated 508 runs in five games (avg 56.44). Both his centuries in the Ranji Trophy came in the second innings on difficult tracks.
