After rain playing spoilsport in the first ODI of the three-game series in Guyana, India and West Indies will be hoping for a better weather when they take on each other in the penultimate match of the three-match series at the Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad. Both the teams will lock horns in the second ODI on Sunday. A win in the game will give the winner an unassailable lead.

The game could also be Chris Gayle’s second -last international game. West Indies resisted the temptation of naming Gayle in the Test side and thus the second and third ODI could be Gayle’s last appearances in international cricket. The fans will definitely be desperate to see Gayle in action in these two games.

For India, it will be about starting afresh after a disappointing loss in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup. India are high on confidence after whitewashing West Indies in the three-match T20I series. The series will be an opportunity for India to try out their fragile middle-order. The likes of Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant will have a chance to impress and seal their place in the playing eleven. The likes of Kedar Jadhav and Manish Pandey are also in fray.

In the bowling department, Mohammed Shami looked mighty impressive as he gave away just 5 runs in the three overs that he bowled. Khaleel Ahmed, on the other hand, did not look impressive. He conceded 27 runs from his three overs. Thus it would not be very surprising if Navdeep Saini receives his ODI cap.

But before the game gets underway, all the eyes will be on weather. According to AccuWeather, the weather forecast is very promising. The weather should hold up throughout the match with sunny skies till 5PM local time.
