Former Team India speedster Ajit Agarkar feels that Windies made life very easy for India. The fast bowler further stated that the visitors lacked the intensity in the field and were never ready to give a fight to India. He agreed that India is a way better team than the Windies especially in their home conditions but he felt Windies should have at least fought harder and tried to stay at the crease for a longer period of time.

During an interview with ESPN Cricinfo, Agarkar stated that it would be pretty demoralizing for someone like a Courtney Walsh to witness the downfall of Windies. Walsh who was present during the interview through webcam was very disappointed with the performance of his team.

In reply, Agarkar said that he can feel for Walsh as he was part of the Windies team who used to terrorize opposition batting line-up with their fast bowling. However, everything is past now and it is a bitter pill to swallow for Courtney Walsh without any doubt.

“Really poor. Like Courtney Walsh said you want to see a bit more fight. You know the two teams are a mismatch. India is way better at this point, especially in these conditions. But apart from Kraigg Brathwaite who got a good one, good length from Mohammad Shami. It wasn’t really that the pitch started spinning. It was spinning a bit more than Day one. The quality of spin bowlers is different but really poor from Windies”.

“I think it is making life so easy for the home team. Virat Kohli at the end of the day’s play even stopped one of the spinners and got Mohammed Shami back. Okay, it was reversing a little bit on another day he wouldn’t have stopped the spinners if they were finding it difficult against spin”, Ajit Agarkar was quoted as saying by ESPN Cricinfo.

For India, Prithvi Shaw, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja scored centuries. Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant also looked set for centuries but missed out by a whisker. Thus, it was a dominating performance from the Indian team.
