India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant felt proud after making his One Day International debut. Pant had already made his T20I and Test debut. Pant was handed over his cap by his idol, MS Dhoni. However, he received his maiden call-up in ODI cricket after impressing in the red ball version. Therefore, the Delhi lad became the 224th player for India in the ODI format. However, it wasn’t an ideal start for Rishabh Pant.

Pant had a tough day in the field as he misfielded on many occasions. Furthermore, he was not able to take a simple catch of Windies skipper Jason Holder. However, he was able to grab one catch of Windies centurion Shimron Hetmyer.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant had a good start to his Test career. Pant scored a blistering hundred in the fifth and final Test match against England. In fact, Pant had raised some hopes in the Indian camp after his attacking knock.

The southpaw combative batsman also scored two scores of 92 in the two-match Test series against the Windies. However, he had a difficult time behind the stumps as he tried to go with hard hands. Hence, Pant still has a lot to learn at the topmost level of the game.
