Rest is something mental and physical aspect – Virat Kohli

Further, Virat Kohli explained that people misunderstood the term Workload by relating it to the number of games the individual play. He cited Hardik Pandya’s recent injury as an example for it.

”Yes, definitely, I am feeling rejuvenated again. It was a mental and physical mould. The thing is because of the intensity with which we spent in South Africa and England. People usually talk about the workload but they don’t understand the concept of the workload. They think if I score zero, it isn’t a workload but if I bat 6 hours, it is a workload,” Virat Kohli explained.

”Few teams and individuals took it in a different way. They don’t know what exactly the term Workload means. The trainer and physio took the decision. Because you saw Hardik Pandya going down. You never know from the outside. I too experienced some back problems in South Africa. Looking at the World Cup, these things really matter to consider,” Virat Kohli inferred.

However, Virat Kohli has got valid points in his kitty while explaining the reason behind the rest for the players. As Virat said, the rest for the players in quite important with the ICC World Cup 2019 is about to make its way.
