India Women Vs New Zealand Women 2019: 3rd ODI, Seddon Park, Hamilton – Match Report; It seems like Indian Women Team has followed the men team so closely. Much to the same like men team, they also won the series comfortably and lost the chance of whitewashing Kiwis at their home. They lost to the hosts in a pretty poor way in the final ODI of the series at Hamilton.

1st Innings:

Initially, it was New Zealand, who won the toss and chose to bowl first. They got a brilliant start with Smriti Mandhana (1) walking back to the hut for a cheap score alongside Jemimah Rodrigue (12) to see scorecard read 13/2. The duo was quickly followed by the Indian skipper Mithali Raj, who scored 9 off 28 deliveries.

However, the southpaw, Deepti Sharma showed great resilience in the middle to balance the ship with her half-century but unfortunately, she couldn’t find any support from the other end. Harmanpreet Kaur stood in the middle for a brief period before being dismissed by Anna Paterson. The wicket opened gates for Kiwis, who just rattled the tail-enders defence.

For hosts, Anna Paterson was the pick of bowlers, who bagged 4 wickets while Lea Tahuhu picked up 3 wickets. Amelia Kerr chipped in with 2 wickets alongside Kasperek’s one wicket to restrict Indian Women to 149 on the board.

2nd Innings:

In reply, Indians managed to get rid of Lauren early in the innings. But, the stupendous knock of Suzie Bates helped Kiwis to near the total at a quick rate. She was given ample assistance by Amy Satterthwaite, who was brilliant with her willow right throughout the series.

Poonam Yadav was the only bowler to pick wicket for India while Jhulan Goswami effected a run out early in the innings. Anna Paterson was handed man of the match award.
