From being underdogs to becoming a dominant force in world cricket, India has come a long way, especially in ODIs. With Sourav Ganguly starting the trend to instil the courage to win overseas, MS Dhoni has taken it to the whole new level before handing the baton to the current skipper Virat Kohli.

Besides, these great leaders, India have produced many outstanding performers since 2000 who have gone onto make a mark for themselves in international cricket.

Besides that, the dashing opener’s ability to convert the 100s into 200s takes him to a whole new level. He has three double centuries to his name. Rohit going by his ability to score big will peep Virender Sehwag by a small margin to be in India’s best XI since 2000.

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar will walk into any playing XI without any doubt. His consistency during his career has taken him to the epitome of success and with 49 centuries to his name, Tendulkar is arguably the best in the business.

Tendulkar without a doubt will slot in the top-order alongside Rohit Sharma who has come up the ranks in quick time since promoted to open the innings.

The Punjab-born Harbhajan Singh is arguably the greatest off-spinners to represent India in the international circuit. His ability to dominate the middle overs made him one of the significant contributors in the fifty overs of cricket.

He developed a lot of variations in his arsenal as he grew old: the slower ball, in-swinging yorker, outswingers and the knuckleball. Zaheer will undoubtedly walk into any playing XI for his ability to lead a pace unit.

Jasprit Bumrah

The young Jasprit Bumrah has made a scintillating debut to his international career. Although he has only played a handful of matches but his ability to pick wickets will make him one of the best India fast bowlers.

Bumrah had an outstanding ICC World Cup 2019 finishing as the highest wicket-taker for India. Despite his side bowing out from the semifinals, he earned praise from all quarters. With a lot of variations in his kitty, Bumrah will go a long way and bring in more laurels for his side.
