Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will look to spoil the chances of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), who are still harbouring the hopes of qualifying for the playoffs. Both teams will square off against each other at the Maharastra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on super Sunday evening (May 20).

Meanwhile, this will be a do-or-die clash for the Lions against a star-studded CSK line-up.

Barring opener KL Rahul, who has 652 runs from 13 innings, Punjab failed to click as a unit. Chris Gayle came out with some impressive knocks in the first half of the season but lacked consistency as the competition progressed.

The middle-order line-up failed miserably as result of KXIP finds themselves in this situation. The senior cricketers in the bowling need to raise their bar against Super Kings.

On the other hand, having already qualified for the playoffs, Chennai will be eager to finish the league stage at the top spot.

Ambati Rayadu has been brilliant so far, delivering on most occasions. He has been amongst the runs and has received good support from his partner Shane Watson.

However, CSK will have to reduce their errors in the bowling and fielding department as they approach to the business end of the lucrative league.

However, it will go down to 25-degrees Celsius much to the relief of the players.

Moreover, the sky will remain clear which will excite the KXIP camp who will desperate for the two points.

Although, there will be no humidity whatsoever – the dew will play its part in the game.

Captain winning the toss will look to bowl first and took the advantage in the latter half of the game.
