Sunrisers Hyderabad premier bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan, paired up after the match to shed light on their win last night over RCB in Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad continues their domination in the ongoing IPL, as they got the better off Royal Challengers Bangalore by five runs. The Orange Army bowling unit was once again on target, as they successfully defended 146.
It was a fine bowling effort from the hosts, as they kept their supremacy going. Kane Williamson-led team has won eight matches out of the ten they have played. Thus, they have sealed their playoffs berth.
SRH Bowling unit continues to breathe down opposition neck.
After their five runs win over RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar asked Rashid Khan about his plan to get rid of talismanic AB de Villiers. Rashid Khan said while talking on IPLT20.COM,
“Everybody knows that AB de Villiers is a game-changer. I tried to bowl in the right areas to him. I was varying my leg-spin and the wrong one. Then I decided to set him up as I bowled three-four leg-spinners on the trot and followed it with two googlies”.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar then asked the leg-spinner about his mindset after skipper Kane Williamson dropped Virat Kohli catch. Rashid Khan went to add,
“The wicket was such that it was providing chances. It was also breaking, and I was thinking to bowl at a good length so that I get another chance. Despite the catch drop, the focus was to bowl at the right areas as the pitch was breaking”.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad deputy then asked was there any pressure after Colin de Grandhomme hit him for two consecutive sixes. The linchpin leg-spinner added,
“The focus was to bowl dot balls after getting hitting as we have quality bowlers in our line-up and pitch was also providing help”.
Rashid Khan further added he keeps working on his variations in the nets session. The Afghanistan spinner said he tries to bowl with different grips and always tries to improve his armoury. Bhuvneshwar Kumar then jokingly said that Rashid should not execute his variations in the one-off Test against India. The Afghan spinner then gave a sly smile to Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
SRH has a potent bowling line-up and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, as well as Rashid Khan, is the core of their line-up. Men in Orange will now go up against Delhi Daredevils on May 10 at latter’s home ground.
