Royal Challengers Bangalore‘s (RCB) star batsman, AB de Villiers has admitted Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have proved that Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are not unbeatable.

Meanwhile, RCB square off against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 17 (Thursday) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Bangalore will be high on confidence after beating Delhi Daredevils and King XI Punjab on a trot.

Virat Kohli & Co find themselves on the seventh spot out of the eight teams. They will have to win their last two games to hang in there by a thread, as their qualification for the playoffs also depends on the results of others.

However, they will have an uphill task at hands against the Sunrisers, who are currently at the top of the table.

Desperate to beat Hyderabad

De Villiers admitted there are no confusion, and the boys will go for the kill.

Further, he added although Sunrisers have defended the low totals, CSK have proved that they are beatable.

There are no ifs or buts: we need to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in Bengaluru on Thursday or else the sun will finally set on our hopes of winning the 2018 IPL title. But suddenly against CSK, the great defenders had not managed to defend,” de Villiers wrote on TOI.

The Proteas cricketer, however, lauded SRH’s clinical performance and admitted they are not sitting at the top by mistake.

Momentum is invaluable in IPL

De Villiers also stressed that momentum is key in this tournament and they have that by their side.

Although they underperformed at times, AB feels last two wins boosted their collected spirits.

It has been said so many times that momentum is invaluable in the IPL. While a defeat can sow doubt and uncertainty, a couple of wins breed contagious confidence. At RCB, we have stuttered at times during this tournament — in fact, we have seriously under performed on occasions, but somehow we stayed in the fight, and back-to-back victories on the road against DD and KXIP have boosted our collective spirits,” he added.

In conclusion, he said it is their last home game, and they want to give something to the fans to cheer about.
