Gayle scored 70 runs in, as he doesn’t show much interest in running between the wickets.
It is noted that some people argue the long sixes should give more runs to the batsman.
Dale Steyn claimed it would be hard to calculate the scores if Gayle gets going. The Jamaican batsman is the king of T20 cricket and showed his worth for the Kings XI Punjab.
Gayle was roped in by the Punjab franchise in the final stages of the Indian Premier League auctions. In the two matches that he has played thus far in the season, the power-hitter has bagged two Man of the Match awards.
Chris Gayle took his time in the initial stage of the innings. The aggressive batsman catapulted his attack once he was settled at the crease. The left-hander smashed Rashid Khan who is SRH’s best spinner for four consecutive sixes in one of the over.
It was the first century of the Indian Premier League ongoing edition. Gayle scored his 6th IPL ton, and it was his 21 T20 hundred. Gayle has amassed more than 10,000 runs in the shortest format of the game, and he is well known as the King of T20 cricket.
Dale Steyn took to Twitter as his post read as,
“Amazing! The man is special. But some are calling for a big 6 to be made into 12… I dread to do the math on what scores will be if a Gayle storm hits ? #byebyestats”.
