He went on to play three more games, picking up four more wickets. He also scored the winning run on the last ball in a thrilling contest against Mumbai Indians earlier.
Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is also not playing for the franchise due to an injury. The Sunrisers pace spearhead is suffering from a niggling back injury and has been advised rest.
As a result, he has been ruled out of the important clash against Mumbai Indians. Shikhar Dhawan also missed the team’s last game against Chennai Super Kings due to an injury but recovered in time for the clash against the defending champions.
Coming to the team’s performance so far, the Sunrisers have struggled to continue their initial momentum. They started the season with three consecutive wins, defeating Royals, Mumbai and Kolkata Knight Riders.
However, they went on to lose the following two games against Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings.
Sunrisers will next play Kings XI Punjab on Thursday (April 26).
