It seems the war-torn country Afghanistan is producing more sort of the leg-spin production line just like what its neighbouring country Pakistan is known for being the home to the promising and prominent fast bowlers with India witnessing the top-notch batters grabbing the attention of the world cricket and here we are talking about remarkable Mujeeb Zadran.

The Khost-born promising slow bowler Zadran has drawn the attention of bidders during the second day of the mega-auction for the upcoming IPL auction which will be kicking off in the first week of April.

In his previous U-19 game, against New Zealand U-19 at Christchurch, Zadran, who’s representing his youth team in the ongoing U-19 World Cup claimed four wickets after giving away 14 runs on January 25, 2018.

Just like the leg-spin prodigy Rashid Khan in the tenth edition, Zadran fetched INR 4 crore after some serious bidding from the Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils, as the Punjab-based outfit won the riveting battle which saw the famous auctioneer Richard Madley striking the gavel to complete the deal and subsequently the confirmation of the dedicated bowler for the widely-acclaimed league.

From Khost to lucrative cost — Zadran has become a burgeoning example of another success story. He will be the youngest overseas cricketer to represent in IPL after Mitchell Marsh, who represented the defunct Deccan Chargers in 2010 when the Australian all-rounder was 18 years and 170-day old.
