Former Indian international, Irfan Pathan, during the pre-match show of the Indian Premier League (IPL), listed out the qualities of MS Dhoni – the skipper.

The two Internationals started out their career in almost the same timeline. But cricketing career of the two had taken different turns.

However, the two were part of the great Indian World T20 winning squad in 2007. This win also embarked MSD’s first triumph as the captain at elite level of the sport.

Under the captaincy of MSD, India went on to win all three major world titles.

He is the only captain to do so until now in the history.

Anybody can go up to Dhoni freely and have a chat. Even if it’s your first day in the team, there’s no reason for you to hesitate. Dhoni makes sure he gives you respect and full attention when he’s interacting with you,” Irfan Pathan quoted during the pre-match show of Star Sports Network.

The next thing the now J&K cricketer revealed was that all his teammates, irrespective of their seniority, is given the same amount of respect under Captain Cool.

Just because you’re a junior, that doesn’t mean he will not take you seriously or show disrespect. That’s what makes him so great,” concluded Irfan Pathan.

Steven Smith and Ben Stokes will miss major part of team’s practice camp.
