IPL 2018: Jos Buttler Didn't Give Us Any Chance, Says Rohit Sharma

It was a strange strange night in Mumbai as both the sides were very much in the game. The momentum kept shifting from one end to the other end. But Rohit Sharma and his men never quite made it till the end.
It came as a crushing blow as their contention for a playoff spot hangs in doubt now.
For Rajasthan Royals (RR) though, these are crucial points as they look to reach the knockouts. Mumbai Indians (MI) made 168 for six in their 20 overs.
Evin Lewis made 60 off 42 balls while all-rounder Hardik Pandya hit 36 off 21 deliveries.
Jofra Archer was the pick of the bowlers for Royals. The pacer bagged two wickets and conceded just 16 runs in his four overs.
All-rounder Ben Stokes scalped two wickets and conceded 26 runs, giving Rajasthan a very good chance to chase a par score.
Rajasthan wins it big:
Chasing 169 to win, Jos Buttler once again produced an outstanding show. He remained unbeaten on 94 off 53 balls while skipper Ajnkya Rahane contributed with 37 off 36 balls. Pacer Pandya was expensive with the ball as he leaked 52 runs from his four overs.
Rohit was clearly disappointed but he said such knock does take place in cricket. He also added that he is proud of the way his boys played but 20-odd runs to the total would have made things easy for them.
Rohit Sharma backs his boys following a loss against Rajasthan:
“We should have got 15-20 more, but I don’t want to be too harsh, we have played some good cricket. Innings like this can happen, we just have to keep our heads up.” the skipper said during the presentation.
Rohit backed his bowlers but subsequently asserted Buttler was at his best to take away an all-important encounter away from hosts.
“Jos Buttler has been in great form, he didn’t give us any chances, but we bowled very well. We need to see how we can come back in the next two games,” Rohit.
