Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper, Kane Williamson has recently revealed the name of an uncapped cricketer, who he thinks deserves a berth in the Indian Cricket team.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad had done remarkably well in this edition, especially with their bowling. The bowlers have been of top-notch, as SRH sits at the top of the points table.
The likes of Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddharth Kaul, Basil Thampi and Sandeep Sharma have performed exceptionally well for the Sunrisers. Meanwhile, they have mastered the art of defending low targets.
Last night, they defended 146 runs against a destructive Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a tight last over, as Hyderabad defended 12 runs off the 20th over.
SRH pacer to represent India soon
Williamson in a chat with Sportstarlive hailed his bowlers for doing an outstanding job. The 27-year old, Williamson especially mentioned Siddarth Kaul, who has done outstandingly well in the middle overs.
The right-arm seamer has already claimed 13 wickets in ten matches and will look to continuing doing his job. Williamson feels Kaul will soon get an opportunity to represent the national team.
“I think he would get a chance to don the Indian jersey soon. He is a brilliant T20 bowler,” said Williamson.
Williamson added whenever he needed someone to operate in the death overs; he always turned to Kaul.
The SRH skipper feels bowling at the death is one of the strong aspects in Kaul’s bowling. Williamson also suggested Kaul is using the variations and yorkers to good effect.
“When, as a captain, I am looking for aggressive options to operate at the death and that is one of his strengths. He is using his changes and getting the yorkers at the death perfectly,” he added.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad looks pretty in line for the playoffs and has four games in their hand.
