This edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) turned out to be a run-fest. However, we witnessed some brilliant display of bowling which further elaborated that Twenty20 cricket is not all about batting powerhouse.
Many bowlers turned out to be spectacular with Kings XI Punjab’s (KXIP) Andrew Tye earning the Purple Cap award with 24 wickets. Meanwhile, other than Tye, many bowlers showed their mettle in the recently culminated domestic professional T20 league.

However, after rigorous action for two months, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the much-coveted title. They defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets – to lift the cup for the third time at the Wankhede Stadium.
In addition, the summit clash also witnessed some brilliant bowling with as many as two bowlers bowling maiden overs.
In a game, where every dot is counted as unique, six consecutive dot balls are precious for any team. But, this time around, the spectators witnessed quite a few maiden overs in this edition of the cash-rich league.
