However, after rigorous action for two months, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the much-coveted title. They defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets – to lift the cup for the third time at the Wankhede Stadium.

In addition, the summit clash also witnessed some brilliant bowling with as many as two bowlers bowling maiden overs.

In a game, where every dot is counted as unique, six consecutive dot balls are precious for any team. But, this time around, the spectators witnessed quite a few maiden overs in this edition of the cash-rich league.
