Delhi Daredevils are set to face Royal Challengers Bangalore in another home game of their campaign in IPL 2018. A win would ensure they spoil RCB’s chances to qualify for playoffs in IPL 2018.

A loss in this game for Royal Challengers Bangalore would ensure they are knocked out of the tournament this season.

Here we look at the possible XI that Delhi Daredevils are expected to line up for this crucial encounter.

Openers

Prithvi Shaw

The young Indian sensation had already made a name for himself in his first few games. Prithvi Shaw will look to continue his bamboozling form against Bangalore.

The English opener has developed a good understanding with Prithvi Shaw at the top. He will once again get the nod ahead of Colin Munro in the starting lineup.

Middle order

Shreyas Iyer has been in decent form in IPL 2018. But the captain will need to find more consistency to help his team achieve a win against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Rishabh Pant

The southpaw was in sensational form in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He single-handedly blasted bowlers all around the park and will once again feature in Delhi’s middle order on Saturday evening.

Glenn Maxwell

Although Maxwell did not play to his potential for Delhi Daredevils this season, he will look to try to turn the tables. With Ricky Ponting at the helm, Maxwell has plenty of trust and support from the coaching staff.

Vijay Shankar

Another promising Indian talent, Vijay Shankar is coming off age in the ongoing IPL. His heroics in the lower middle order is definitely worth praise. However, he could be utilised more as a bowler by skipper Shreyas Iyer.

Harshal Patel

A handy all-rounder in the lower middle order, Harshal Patel had a decent outing with the bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was also quite decent with the ball which makes him an automatic choice for this game.

Bowlers

Amit Mishra

The veteran spinner has been a cornerstone for Delhi’s bowling this season. He has been class apart despite their woeful season, and Mishra will need to once again play an important role in helping Delhi against RCB.

Shahbaz Nadeem

Another prominent figure in Delhi Daredevils bowling lineup, Shahbaz Nadeem will look to prove a point in the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The veteran spinner sparsely got used in IPL 2018.

Liam Plunkett

The English pacer had a mixed season so far. On his day, he delivers in style and on some other day he would be completely anonymous. Considering his match-winning skills, he should feature in final XI.

Trent Boult

The spearhead of Delhi Daredevils’ bowling attack, Trent Boult has been in sensational form this season. He has been the stand out performer for the franchise with the ball and will look to lead the attack once again on Saturday.
