IPL 2018: Privileged to have Represented Sunrisers with a Great Group of Fellas - Kane Williamson

Sunrisers Hyderabad narrowly missed out on their opportunity to lift their 2nd IPL title after the Chennai Super Kings defeated them in the finals by eight wickets.
It was a great all-round performance by the yellow brigade all through the tournament which eventually gave them their 3rd title.
However, in the final, it was a special knock from the blade of Shane Watson who sealed the deal for Chennai. He remained unbeaten on 117 off 57 deliveries which studded with 11 fours and eight sixes.
The Hyderabad bowlers were smashed all over the park. However, they were quite brilliant all through the tournament. It was their bowling brigade which eventually helped them go through to the final of the tournament.
Hyderabad won nine out of their first 11 matches and sealed their place in the playoffs. They lost four consecutive games after including the Qualifier 1 against the Chennai Super Kings in Mumbai. They were in a winning position. However, Faf du Plessis played a brilliant unbeaten knock which helped CSK go through to the final.
Hyderabad managed to defend several low scores all through in the tournament. Siddharth Kaul was quite brilliant despite going for a stick in the final. Even in the Qualifier 1 against Chennai, he bowled a few sensational deliveries to get rid off inform batsmen, Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu.

Williamson led from the front
In the batting department, captain Kane Williamson led from the front and was awarded the Orange Cap. He scored 735 runs in the tournament in 17 matches at an impressive average of 52. He also maintained a healthy strike rate of 142.44. It was a brilliant performance by the skipper and he hopes to entertain his fans again the next year.
