Virat Kohli’s wicket is always a prized possession, and when CSK’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja bowled the skipper of the RCB team, we all expected a bit of a send-off.

Instead, to everyone’s surprise, Jadeja looked a little clueless on whether to celebrate or just go back to the bowling mark. Afterall, it is the national skipper!

It was a crucial wicket, with the powerplay just getting over and Royal Challengers Bangalore scoring 60 runs, losing one wicket. Jadeja delivered on time, and it was a big wicket. Kohli missed out on scoring a good knock, as he got dismissed for eight off 11 balls.

The official Twitter account of ICC had a good laugh at Jadeja’s expression. The caption read,

“When you dismiss your national team captain”.

The experienced campaigner was the culprit in CSK’s last game, as he dropped Sunil Narine twice off two consecutive deliveries. But the out of favour Indian cricketer has got Chennai’s skipper, MS Dhoni’s support.

Jadeja shines with the ball

Jadeja has often got promoted ahead of other hitters, and he did play a vital part in some of the chases.

“It’s a difficult one. And Fleming is in the dugout, so he needs to take that decision. And, we have confidence in Jadeja also, one of the reasons is that being a left-hander, it’s not easy to consistently bowl to a left-hander and also this is the time that we can give him that opportunity to express himself.” Dhoni had said on Jadeja’s role with the bat.

Bangalore found themselves in deep trouble, as Jadeja bagged three wickets in his four overs. He bagged the wicket of Parthiv Patel, who scored a gritty fifty and also picked Mandeep Singh’s wicket.
