Delhi Daredevils (DD) wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant lauds his senior teammate Gautam Gambhir saying that he always supports the young talent.
Meanwhile, Pant has had a great tournament so far leading the Daredevils side. However, Delhi didn’t have the results as per their expectations so far in this league.
Their chances deteriorated as they lost the last match against the Chennai Super Kings by 13 runs. Although Pant put in a valiant effort but failed to take his team over the rope.
Batting first, the home team posted a staggering 211 runs on the board. The opening duo of Shane Watson (78) and Faf du Plessis (33) set the perfect tone for the home team.
MS Dhoni (51*) and Ambati Rayadu (41) played a cameo to take the score over 200.
However, in reply, Delhi lost Prithvi Shaw early to KM Asif. Moreover, debutant Asif removed Colin Munro shortly, who was looking dangerous. Rishabh Pant, however, played a good hand scoring 79 runs off 45 deliveries but went in vain. They once again suffered, as their overseas recruits failed to make useful contributions.
The Super Kings bowlers did an outstanding job of containing runs in the middle-overs and tightening things up, as restricted Delhi for 198 runs.
Meanwhile, the young left-hander batsman was outstanding as he took the attack to the opposition. He hammered seven fours and four towering sixes as the bowlers went in search of the leather.
Pant lauds Gambhir
The wicket-keeper batsman took to social media site to shower heaps of praise on Gambhir. He also admitted that he supports young talent and his love and passion for the game is immense.

However, everything is not lost for Delhi as they still have chances to qualify. They will have to win back to back games to give themselves a chance to qualify.
