Unbeaten 128 from Rishabh Pant in the previous match on May 10 (Friday) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) became the highest individual score in a losing cause. The southpaw was on the song while talking on best bowling line-up of the Indian Premier League.

Pant scored an unbeaten 128 runs off just 63 balls as he was at the top of his game. However, his knock went in vain as Delhi lost the match by nine wickets.

Pant’s inning might go down as the best knock in this season of the IPL as he single-handedly took Delhi to a par total of 187.

However, his pyrotechnics went in vain as Delhi lost the match convincingly by nine wickets and seven balls to spare.

Consequently, Delhi hopes of qualifying for the playoffs places also vanished as they lost their eighth match of the season.

The aggressive batsman Pant is in fine form in this edition of the IPL. The Delhi batsman has scored 521 runs to be the leading run-getter of the tournament. Thus, Pant currently holds the Orange Cap in this season.

The wicketkeeper-batsman Pant bettered the record of Andrew Symonds, who had scored an unbeaten 117 against Rajasthan Royals in the 2008 season in a losing cause.

Consequently, Rishabh Pant now holds the unwanted record in his bag.

Wriddhiman Saha had also scored an unconquered 115 in the 2014 final against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) which went up in smoke.

South African star Hashim Amla had also scored an unbeaten 104 against Mumbai Indians (MI) which ended with Punjab on the losing end in the previous edition.
