South African pace bowler Junior Dala is on his way to Indian Premier League. The lanky pacer could be featuring for Delhi Daredevils for the reminder of the season, according to reports.

The side are currently at the bottom of the IPL table and looked well below par in their first six games. Injuries to some of their overseas players did not help their cause either.

However, reports suggest Delhi are looking for Junior Dala as a potential cover for one of the overseas slots. The injury to Kagiso Rabada ahead of IPL was a body blow to the team. John Wright, who is the President of Northerns Cricket Union, Titans & Eastern Titans Cricket Board Member made the announcement of the news.

But the Delhi franchise are yet to officially confirm it. If the recent form of Jason Roy and Chris Morris is concerned, one of the two players could be heading home to make place for Proteas pacer.

Junior Dala has impressed in the series against India in February. He will be looking to make inroads and get a good reputation with his performances for Delhi.

Delhi Daredevils Continue Their Poor Form

The Delhi franchise has continued their downward trend this season. Despite going in with an experienced captain, Gautam Gambhir and Ricky Ponting as coach, the side did not show up. They have managed to win just one game in their first six games and are currently at the bottom of the table.

The management decided to sack Gambhir as their skipper. They have announced young Shreyas Iyer to be their new skipper until the end of the season. Boasting some of the best Indian talents in their roster, Delhi Daredevils are yet to play to their potential.

Tipped by many to reach the play offs this season, Delhi batting has crumbled in crucial moments. A decent campaign from now on would be a dream for the franchise considering their woes so far.
