The 39th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) witnessed a clash between hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

It was Kane Williamson yet again who steered his team towards a competitive total on a pitch not assisting strokeplay. Earlier, the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Alex Hales and Manish Pandey struggled on the docile-looking pitch.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s struggling bowling unit, turned out to be impressive yet again as the likes of Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj and Tim Southee, all chipped in with wickets to put a check on the SRH’s proceedings.

Siraj was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets to his name, and conceding only 25

The finishing blows were delivered by Shakib Al Hasan who scored 35 off 32 balls, to put his team in a competitive position.

Williamson, turning out to be Mr consistent for Moody & co., did not make Warner’s absence felt with the bat as he registered his 5th half century in the tournament.

The Kiwi scored a brisk knock of 59 which came off just 39 deliveries, at a strike rate of 143. Williamson nailed five boundaries and a six during his knock to entertain the crowd at Hyderabad.
