Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) were knocked out of Vivo Indian Premier League (IPL) 11 after they lost their group match against the Rajasthan Royals (RR). It was a must-win encounter for both teams.

However, it was some exceptional bowling by Shreyas Gopal which eventually handed Rajasthan a memorable victory. It also ensured they qualified for the playoffs especially given the fact that Mumbai Indians (MI) lost their last group match against the Delhi Daredevils (DD) on the very next day.

Bangalore was pretty ordinary through most part of the season eleven. However, they made a late surge which helped them make a mini-comeback. They needed to win their last game in order to ensure qualification.

However, it wasn’t to be as Shreyas Gopal weaved his magic and ended with magical figures of four for 16 in his allotted four overs.

Bangalore has been quite mediocre in the last two seasons of the tournament. Hence the team management might opt to change the combination of the team.

Meanwhile RCB star batsmen AB de Villiers took to his Instagram handle and shared a video. He thanked all the RCB fans for their undying support all through the tournament.

AB De Villiers further added that he has a feeling that they will come back much stronger next year especially given the fact that they have a great squad.

But, time and again they have failed to leave up to the expectations of the fans. Though they managed to raise their hopes with three victories from their last four matches, they ended up losing their last must-win clash against Rajasthan.

Bangalore has been quite disappointing in the last couple of years. Despite having a strong squad they have failed to put up the required performances which require to qualify for the playoffs or win the title.

The bowling department, especially in this year, failed to leave up to the expectations. The form of Yuzevdnra Chahal was pretty ordinary before he returned to his ways with a few good performances towards the fag end of the tournament.
