Colin Munro had a decent outing in his comeback game for Delhi Daredevils.

The New Zealand opener faced the axe after scoring 4 and zero in the first two games of the season. He finally got recalled into the playing for the recently-concluded match against Kolkata Knight Riders after Gautam Gambhir’s constant failures at the top.

And the southpaw made an immediate impact. He came out all guns blazing with the bat, and although he could not convert the start, he managed to impress.

The left-handed batsman scored 33 off just 16 balls with the help of four fours and a couple of sixes. He then went on to make another big impression in the game with a stunning one-handed grab towards the end of Knight Riders’ innings.

In the 19th over, Piyush Chawla slog-swept a Glenn Maxwell delivery. The ball was well hit and was travelling with a flat trajectory. With the momentum and speed there, the ball looked set to sail over the boundary ropes.

However, Munro had other plans, as he jumped up and grabbed the ball with the tip of his fingers.

Here is a clip of that stunner:

Meanwhile, Delhi Daredevils returned to winning ways with an emphatic 55-run win over Knight Riders.

Put in to bat first; Daredevils rode on their skipper, Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten 93 and Prithvi Shaw’s fifty to post a daunting 219 for four. In reply, the Knight Riders could only post 164 for nine.
