It is not every day that MS Dhoni is seen showing emotions or having fun on the cricket field.
Not only for his batting and captaincy; Dhoni has also garnered widespread praise for his cool and calm nature. In fact, he has managed to keep his emotions under check so well on the field that the cricketing fraternity fondly calls him captain cool.
No matter whether he gets out on a duck or scores a century, no matter whether he ends up on the losing side or the winning one, seeing the 36-year showing emotions is very very rare.
However, on Sunday (May 13), a different facet of Dhoni’s personality was witnessed during the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. During the seventh over of the innings, the Chennai Super Kings had hilariously scared his teammate Ravindra Jadeja that left even the commentators in stitches. The incident occurred on the final ball of the seventh over.
Shikhar Dhawan had played the ball with soft hands. The southpaw had nudged the ball in front of short mid-wicket and set off for a single straight away. With no close-in fielder around, Dhoni ran to pick the ball up.
On the other hand, Jadeja also came charging in from deep mid-wicket. Not surprisingly, Dhoni was the first to pick the ball up and what followed after that was absolutely hilarious. Soon after picking the ball, Dhoni gestured to throw the ball towards Jadeja who hid his face to protect himself before Dhoni flashed a wide grin and turned around to take his position.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers rode on Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson’s fifties to post 179 for four.
