Mumbai Indians (MI) fast bowling duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga shared a great camaraderie. They have been pivotal behind Mumbai three-time victorious campaign in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Bumrah has often credited the senior statesman behind his success, and now Malinga has hailed the younger fast bowler.

Lasith Malinga has stormed back to the Mumbai Indians set up after serving as the bowling consultant for the Mumbai Indians last year. The veteran Sri Lankan fast bowler roared his way back to the Sri Lankan team and since then has been in good form. He also made a stunning start to this edition of the IPL for Mumbai Indians this year.

While Malinga has been a great servant of Mumbai franchise over the years, he believes Jasprit Bumrah has transformed himself to be the best bowler in the world. Bumrah with his unique action is a nightmare for the batsmen both at the start and at the death overs. He also boasts a handful of variations up his sleeves which makes him more lethal in today’s cricket. With the ICC World Cup round the corner, Lasith Malinga rated his teammate as the best bowler in the world.

We know exactly how good Jasprit is. He is the number one bowler in Mumbai Indians and world cricket,” Malinga said after Mumbai’s comprehensive 5-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah will be leading the pace battery for the Indian National Cricket team in the upcoming ICC World Cup. He alongside Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar forms the pace unit while Hardik Pandya will don the fourth pacers role.
