IPL 2019: Mohit Sharma - A CSK Player; Feels Good - Mohit Sharma

Each franchise in the Indian Premier League has got its own charisma. They are like a family and treats every player with a great relation. Meanwhile, due to obvious reasons, the player combinations and the auctions saw players transferring from one franchise to the other.  One such player is Mohit Sharma, who missed out playing for Chennai Super Kings.

However, after a 3-year break, he is back to the team with CSK purchasing him in the recently concluded IPL 2019 auctions. Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview to Sportskeeda, Mohit Sharma quoted that it is a great feeling to be back in CSK Jersey.

Chennai Super Kings Have A Family Culture – Mohit Sharma

The fast bowler quoted that none of the players can see a family culture that Chennai Super Kings have in their dugout. He feels that playing for the Chennai franchise is always a special feeling.

He went on to add saying that he missed Chennai Super Kings in the last three years. Mohit Sharma also revealed that he used to think of himself that he would have performed well if played for CSK unit. He also highlights MS Dhoni factor.

”If I say I was not missing CSK, I would be lying big time! Yes, I have missed CSK a lot. I have missed being part of CSK – even when I played elsewhere for 3 years, I used to think it would have been better for me to have been playing at CSK. The environment creates a lot of difference. No doubt, the MS Dhoni factor is always there,” Mohit Sharma quoted.

”It obviously feels good. It always feels good when you return home, whether you’re coming from office or coming back from travelling the world. It feels relaxing. The bond and the culture that CSK has developed, you don’t get it so easily anywhere else. It’s a family culture. I played elsewhere for 3 years, but this was always said about me – “Mohit Sharma, CSK player”. I love that, the feeling is really good,” he added.

Well, as Mohit Sharma said, returning back to the favourite franchise is always a special feeling for the player. It would be interesting to see how he performs for CSK. In IPL 2018, he failed to deliver goods for Kings XI Punjab.
