Here comes the pick from Mumbai Indians in the ongoing IPL 2019 auction. They have bagged the services of the left-handed fast bowler Barinder Sran in order to fill the vacant position left by Mustafizur Rahman. It was their third purchase in the auction after bagging Lasith Malinga and the young Anmolpreeth Singh.

The left-hander failed to make his mark in the previous edition while playing for Kings XI Punjab. It eventually saw him from being released by the franchise for IPL 2019. However, he would be pleased to get into one of the most successful franchises in IPL.

Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings went neck-to-neck for Barinder Sran:

Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings were involved in quite a few bidding wars tonight. Once again, they went with all their bucks to pick Barinder Sran to their dugout. This time, it is Mumbai Indians, who won the bidding war after losing Mohit Sharma in the earlier one.

Barinder, who started with a base price of INR 50 Lakhs has seen the immediate rise with the franchise going after him pretty quickly. Chennai Super Kings, who got INR 3.6 Crores tried to put all their goods for him but Mumbai was smart in noticing it.

Well, it would be a good addition for Mumbai Indians, as they are looking for a left-handed fast bowler. This would help them to pick an Indian bowler and add an extra foreigner in the batting section, unlike earlier season.

After bagging Barinder, Mumbai is left with INR4.95 Crores. They are currently 21-member strong squad with 4 places available for the further purchases.
