Former legendary spinner Shane Warne is all set to take over as a full-time head coach of the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2019. Warne had served as a mentor of the franchise in the previous season of the Indian Premier League.

In fact, Shane Warne was not even available for the whole season for the team. However, as per the reports in Bangalore Mirror, the former leg-spinner can take on a bigger role.

Shane Warne can take up the bigger role at Rajasthan Royals.

Meanwhile, Shane Warne shares a long time bond with the Rajasthan Royals. The legendary Australian spinner had led the team to glory in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League in 2008. Rajasthan Royals had an ordinary team but Shane Warne was able to inspire them to a thumping win.

Rajasthan Royals had made it to the qualifying stages after struggling in the initial phase of the IPL 2018.

Meanwhile, it is reported that India’s batting coach Sanjay Bangar is on the radar of the franchise. Furthermore, former Indian head coach Gary Kirsten who led the team to glory in the 2011 World Cup is also in contention for head coach role of RCB.

IPL 2019 could also witness the absence of Kings XI Punjab head coach Brad Hodge. Meanwhile, former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting will continue as the chief coach of the Delhi Daredevils. Ponting had signed a two-year contract with the franchise. However, the Delhi franchise had finished IPL 2018 at the bottom of the points table.

Meanwhile, Paddy Upton was the head coach of Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2018. However, we can see Shane Warne holding the position in IPL 2019.
