IPL 2019: Twitter Reacts As Sunrisers Hyderabad Thrash Kings XI Punjab

KL Rahul’s fighting knock went in vain as Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Kings XI Punjab by 45 runs to get back to winning ways.
Kings XI Punjab succumbed to pressure while chasing losing Chris Gayle in the third over. Since then, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal combined well to cross the 50-run mark. But Mayank threw away his wicket and so did the likes of Nicholas Pooran, David Miller and Ravichandran Ashwin. While the partners kept deserting him from one end, Rahul held firm from the other and reached his fifty off 38 balls when he hit Mohammad Nabi for two consecutive sixes in the 14th over.
With little support from the other end, Rahul just could not do much as the required run-rate kept mounting. Rahul was finally out in the 19th over when Kings XI Punjab needed an improbable 53 from 10 balls. Rahul scored 79 with the help of 4 boundaries and five sixes. Kings XI Punjab eventually ended on 167 for 8.
Previously, David Warner once again powered Sunrisers Hyderabad to 212 runs at the halfway stage. He finished his IPL 2019 campaign on high chipping in with 56-ball 81 run knock including seven boundaries and two sixes. Meanwhile, Warner combined well with Wriddhiman Saha to post 77 runs in the powerplays – the highest so far in the season. However, Hyderabad played the masterstroke promoting in-form Manish Pandey at the top after the departure of Saha right after the powerplay. Warner and Pandey combined well with set the stage for the batsmen to follow. They targetted Mujeeb-ur Rahman who had a bad day in the business going for 66 runs in his full quota.

Kings XI Punjab bounced back getting Pandey and Warner out in the single over of skipper Ravichandran Ashwin. Since then, the visiting team bounced back in style to contain the Sunrisers Hyderabad to 212 runs at the halfway stage of the match.
Here is how Twitter reacted to the match:
Warner is undoubtedly the GOAT of #IPL. What consistency without compromising the Strike Rate!!! Century to sign off this season?? #SRHvKXIP

He's played some really nice, eye-catching little innings but Mayank Agarwal needed to make a couple of them count for #KingsXI

KXIP just seem to lose momentum during the second half of the IPL. It has become a habit… #SRHvKXIP

@taurausvarun #KLRahul is playing this IPL to get back in to form for the World Cup by scoring some runs under his belt. I don’t see him playing for the @lionsdenkxip

He’s played only a few seasons, but @rashidkhan_19 is rapidly acquiring cult status in the IPL and T20 cricket in general. Punctured Punjab batting with 3 big wickets. Rahul keeps his team’s hopes alive, but SRH have to play v badly to lose from here

I hope they ask Ashwin about his changes in every game. No consistency and too many experiments all the time. KXIP fell away last year too. If it happens again, surely something to work on
