Former Indian southpaw spinner Murali Kartik was known for his tweakers. However, since he has taken up a new role in the commentary box, he has learned to bowl bouncers. Murali Kartik who was doing commentary for the host’s broadcasters bowled one to Prithvi Shaw (who was on the mic) when he asked him that who is better between Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly? Kartik said that the question is like asking a child who is a better parent – father or mother.

However, Shaw was equal to the task and decided to duck into the short ball. The young prodigy batsman firstly said that he didn’t hear the question, to which fellow commentator Simon Doull laughed. Doull said that the youngster is trying to leave the question just like a good length delivery on the fourth-fifth stump line.

Shaw played smart.

“I can’t hear you. There seems to be some problem with the connection.”

Subsequently, Prithvi Shaw said that he likes both of them as they both are legends of the game. Meanwhile, Shaw scored a fine knock of 42 runs in Delhi Capitals six wickets-win against Rajasthan Royals.

On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan and Shaw were able to add a fine partnership of 72 runs for the opening partnership. The southpaw batsman batted at the top of his game and he was the aggressor in the alliance whereas Shaw decided to take a back seat.

Subsequently, Rishabh Pant played a blistering knock of 78 runs from only 36 balls as he brought his best to the table. Pant and Shaw added 84 runs partnership for the third wicket.
