Former Indian cricketer, Chetan Sharma, has hailed the former Indian skipper and the captain of Chennai Super Kings as the ‘Hanuman’ of CSK. Dhoni, recently, has received a lot of flak from fans and cricketers alike, for not leading his side from the front. CSK’s last outing against Rajasthan Royals went on to become a poor show for the Men in Yellow, and after that match, MS Dhoni has been under a lot of scrutiny for his captaincy decisions.

Former legendary cricketers including, Sunil Gavaskar, Kevin Pietersen, and Gautam Gambhir came down heavy in Dhoni after the latter demoted himself in the batting order, chasing an extremely high total of 217 runs. Dhoni, carrying the reputation of the world’s best finisher, demoted him in the batting order and it was one of the main reasons behind CSK’s loss against RR.

IPL 2020: MS Dhoni Is The ‘Hanuman’ Of Cricket- Chetan Sharma

Speaking exclusively on the CSK vs DC Preview with CricketAddictor, Chetan Sharma said, “MS Dhoni should come at number 4. Someone who hasn’t played cricket ever in his life, that person will also want Dhoni to come and bat higher up in the order. The most thing is that MS Dhoni should himself understand his potential and come to bat higher up the order.”

“Dhoni is the Hanuman Ji of Chennai Super Kings. The CSK coach Stephen Fleming should speak to Dhoni and convince him to bat up the order for CSK. There is no bigger player in world cricket than Dhoni,” Chetan Sharma said.
