Sakshi Dhoni, wife of Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni, could not help but criticise the umpires after the DRS controversy during the game between the Chennai-based outfit and Rajasthan Royals in the fourth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).
The incident took place in the 18th over of the match after umpire adjudged Tom Curran caught behind. Deepak Chahar bowled a short delivery which Curran tried to pull but was beaten. The ball then hit the thigh pad before going behind the stumps where MS Dhoni caught it after it had bounced once.

But to Curran’s utter surprise, the umpire raised his finger and MS Dhoni was claiming the catch too. Curran straightaway wanted to review the decision before realising that his team had already exhausted all the reviews. But the umpires soon realised their mistake after seeing the replay and referred the third umpire.
In the meantime, MS Dhoni expressed his displeasure over the umpires changing their minds and was seen arguing with them. The third umpire soon reversed the decision and Curran was allowed to bat.
Sakshi Dhoni unhappy:
Sakshi Dhoni was not at all impressed with what happened on the field and did not waste much time in expressing her displeasure over the same. She took to Twitter to criticise the officials, writing:
“If u r using the technology, then use it the right way…..out is out whether its catch out or lbw……”
Interestingly, she deleted her tweet soon.

Meanwhile, Royals went on to add more salts to Dhoni’s wounds by slamming 216 for 7, the highest score of IPL 2020 so far. Sanju Samson and Steve Smith scored fifties to lay the foundation before Jofra Archer hit four sixes in the final over to guide Royals to the huge total.
