The wife of Chennai Super Kings’ skipper MS Dhoni, Sakshi Dhoni, has come up with an emotional message after Chennai Super Kings were officially eliminated from IPL 2020 on Sunday. With Rajasthan Royals cruising to an 8-wicket victory against Mumbai Indians (MI), it was quite clear that all hopes of CSK qualifying for the playoffs have now gone in vain.

This is the first time in their history of the Indian Premier League that Chennai Super Kings have failed to qualify for the playoffs and are eliminated straight from the group stage. Prior to this season, CSK played in a total of 10 seasons wherein they qualified for the playoffs every time and won the trophy thrice, playing the final 8 times, being the only team in IPL history to do so.

Chennai Super Kings Dominate Royal Challengers Bangalore In Dubai

Although Chennai Super Kings have been dominated by their opposition more often than not this year, on Sunday, they dominated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Dubai as they put on complete team performance and showed glimpses of the old Chennai that their fans are used to witnessing over the years in the IPL.

Skipper Virat Kohli led from the front as he once again scored a half-century for the Bangalore-based franchise. In response, Chennai Super Kings cruised to the target in 18.4 overs and won the game with 8 balls remaining and 8 wickets in hand.
