IPL: Ashish Nehra Set to Join Gary Kirsten at Royal Challengers Bangalore

It seems like Royal Challengers Bangalore are working on their team management for the upcoming edition of IPL (Indian Premier League). Recently, they sacked Daniel Vettori from the role of head coach and instead appointed Gary Kirsten. Now, they have added Ashish Nehra to the list as well.

The left-handed former fast bowler has been the bowling mentor for the team in the recently concluded edition of IPL.

However, Royal Challengers Bangalore trusted the ability of the Delhi pacer who was given the promotion to coach the team.

Ashish Nehra and Gary Kirsten will help Virat Kohli – Royal Challengers Bangalore chairman, Sanjeev Churiwal

Speaking of the appointment, the chairman of Royal Challengers Bangalore quoted they are happy to rope in the services of Ashish Nehra for the team in the coaching panel. Now, he will accompany Gary Kirsten for the upcoming edition.

Earlier, Gary Kirsten-led Delhi Daredevils in the tournament but couldn’t be entirely successful in yielding the results.

However, RCB is happy to grab the services of the South African former cricketer.

“We are very happy to have Ashish Nehra join RCB as part of the coaching leadership team. Ashish and Gary will partner the Captain to help the team deliver better performance,” Sanjeev Churiwala, Chairman, Royal Challengers Bangalore said

Meanwhile, the southpaw, Ashish Nehra expressed his happiness for his selection as the coach for the team.

He thanked the management for considering him to the respective role for the coming season.

“I had the privilege to join the coaching team of RCB last season and feel very passionately about the team. I want to thank the team management for considering me in a leadership position with the franchise and look forward to the successful seasons ahead,” Ashish Nehra said to Royal Challengers Bangalore official website.

However, it has been an excellent signing for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Ashish Nehra is always known for his immense knowledge in the game of cricket which would undoubtedly help the team.

Hopefully, the latest modification would help them in lifting the trophy in IPL 2019.
