IPL 2018: Shane Watson Reveals the Secret Behind Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Calm Attitude

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opener Shane Watson has revealed that Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s loves his sleep. The former combative Australian all-rounder adds that one barely finds Chennai’s captain at breakfast or lunchtime.

Meanwhile, Watson is also in awe with the calmness that Dhoni’s brings into the dressing room.

Both Watson, as well as Dhoni, are in fine form in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Dhoni has once again led with aplomb.

Super Kings is at the summit of the IPL 2018 points table after having won six out of the eight matches.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Dhoni has once again led with aplomb and the results have been fruitful.

“We don’t see MS too much in and around lunch and breakfast. He loves his sleep. It has been a privilege to be able to play with MS. Playing for CSK means so much to him and that has rubbed off on everyone,” Watson told iplt20.com.

Watson has scored 281 runs in the eight matches.

However, his skipper Dhoni has managed five more runs than him as he has accumulated 286 runs in the same number of games.

Subsequently, Dhoni is hitting everything from the middle of the bat.

The master is in fine form as he has already notched three fifties in the season. Watson added that this is the best of Dhoni he has ever seen.

“It is as good as I have seen him hit the ball – he is an incredible player. He is hitting those shots on all types of wickets, to all types of bowlers. He is just so cool under pressure. When the run rate is getting up, he knows exactly which bowler is lining up. It’s amazing how he stays so calm,” Watson said.

Watson added that is special to note Dhoni’s game from a close distance.

The all-rounder added, “Dhoni’s aura has rubbed off on me. To be able to watch MS has done from close quarters is very special.”

Dhoni has once again led from the front. He knows the route of success in the IPL and he has provided his team with the same winning tonic.

It amazes how well the Chennai franchise has been able to hit the ground running despite their the two-year hiatus.

A lot of credit goes to the leader of the side, according to Shane Watson.
