Former India allrounder Irfan Pathan has condemned the recent abuse directed at MS Dhoni’s daughter Ziva after the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman’s indifferent form in the ongoing IPL 2020.

Trolling has become an indispensable part of social media now and with each passing day, the level of trolling is stooping lower. Criticism has given way to toxicity on social media as fans are not shying away from abusing not only the players but also their family members.

And in a disturbing incident, some trolls recently targeted MS Dhoni’s five-year old daughter. The trolls gave threats of rape and physical violence to the little girl while venting their frustration over her father’s indifferent display on the field.

The threats allegedly appeared on MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi’s Instagram accounts following Chennai Super Kings’ 10-run loss to Kolkata Knight Riders earlier this week. The incident is being widely condemned and Irfan Pathan also made sure to do his bit.

MS Dhoni, nonetheless, is facing the heat for Chennai Super Kings’ latest defeat to KKR. CSK were on course to win the game while chasing 168 before a terrible display from their middle-order saw them throw the game away. Having posted 90 for 1 at the half-way stage, CSK needed only 78 in the last 10.

However, for a period of 9.3 overs from thereon, they managed only 53 runs. Ravindra Jadeja ended the match by hitting 6, 4 and 4 on the final three balls but it was not enough.

From the 11th to the 19th over, CSK managed to score more than six runs in an over just once when they collected 15 runs in the 16th over bowled by Sunil Narine. MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav were the worst performers with the bat. Both Dhoni and Jadhav faced 12 deliveries each and managed 11 and only 7 respectively.
