Well, the biggest debate in the game of cricket always lies around the comparisons. Be it to a player to player or a team to team, the game has always seen debates on comparisons. Meanwhile, the latest debate in that list is the current Indian Cricket Team likening to the Great Windies Team of the past, who ruled the world cricket. On the same, Curtly Ambrose makes his voice.

The former fast bowler of Windies Curtly Ambrose is one of the great fast bowlers ever graced the game. He has got the unique style of dealing things for his team and always rattled the defence of a batsman with his brilliance.

It is a little premature – Curtly Ambrose

In a recent interview with Mirror, Curtly Ambrose was asked to express his opinion out on the comparisons to Indian team with Windies of the past. He added that it is nowhere near to the team, as Windies never lost a series in a period of 15 years.

He believes that India can reach their but, in order to do that, Ambrose believes that Indian National Cricket Team needs to do a lot. Further, he showers words of praise on Virat Kohli for his exceptional stroke making. Curtly believes that Kohli can make the spectator to watch him throughout the day.

”It’s a little bit premature. The great West Indies team in the past dominated the world for 15 or 20 years. They never lost a series in about 15 years. So, India needs to do well for a few more years consistently. It’s a long way to go,” Curtly Ambrose said to Times of India.

”I never really thought about that. When I played, it did not matter to me who I played against, I always believed that I could get the batsmen out. I never thought how good a batsman was. He (Kohli) has got shots all over the ground, he plays both pacers and spinners equally well, very confident, very classy, easy on the eyes, makes one to sit and watch the whole day,” he added.

Well, as Curtly Ambrose said, India needs to do a lot to become the best in the world cricket. Currently, they are in the same direction under the ruthless captain Virat Kohli. The run-machine of India already helped his side to attain newer heights.
