The Ashok Dinda Academy jibe has re-surfaced once again on Twitter with pacer Jaydev Unadkat being the target this time around. The term was all over the news during this year’s Indian Premier League thanks to the Twitter handle of Royal Challengers Bangalore. The IPL franchise had controversially used the term and had rightly faced the heat.

The term is used by the fans to troll any bowler and call him a ‘part of Dinda academy’ after any bad performance. In fact, Ashok Dinda had himself slammed the trolls while expressing surprise over the tweet from Royal Challengers Bangalore. Coming to the latest incident, Unadkat was the latest bowler to be called a member of the Ashok Dinda Academy.

It started when Jaydev Unadkat took to Twitter to praise his Rajasthan Royals teammate and Australia star Steve Smith. The former Australia star came up with yet another stunning performance with the bat in the ongoing Ashes. Despite losing partners from the other end, Smith stood firm at his end. He went on to score 92 before being sent back by Chris Woakes.

Prior to his departure, he had received a severe blow on his neck from a Jofra Archer bouncer. Smith had to walk off the field but he showed remarkable bravery and came out to bat soon. Unadkat, nonetheless, was all praise for Smith when he crossed his fifty for the third consecutive time this series. It was also his seventh consecutive fifty-plus score in the Ashes.

“A master-class in action! What a fighter this guy..  @stevesmith49 #Bradmansque,” tweeted Jaydev Unadkat.

This is when one fan tried to mock Jaydev Unadkat and went on to abuse the pacer, writing:

“Aur tuu Ashok Dinda academy ka member chutiya”

But before the fan could get away with the disrespecting tweet, Unadkat made sure to give teach a lesson. In a classy response, Unadkat tweeted:

“Don’t you people have anything else to focus on? Seriously? So much hatred & jealousy for what? 🤷🏻‍♂️😄”
