England Test skipper Joe Root, on Saturday, got married to his partner, Carrie Cotterell in Sheffield. However, what made headlines was the arrival of him at the wedding, as Root came in a white Rolls Royce with his father, Matt and best man, brother Billy.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old proposed Carrie Cotterell before the World T20 in 2016. Although Joe Root and Cotterell had been dating for just under two years before Root asked her to marry him.

As mentioned above, under Joe Root’s captaincy, England had achieved a clean-sweep over depleted Sri Lankan team. Before this, England had beaten an upbeat Indian team at home 4-1.
Moreover, Joe Root so far had played 77 Test matches scoring 6508 runs with a healthy average of 50.44. His highest individual score remains 254 runs against Pakistan in 2016.
