At a time when sportsperson and athletes around the world are doing all they can to raise awareness against racism, England fast-bowler Jofra Archer has suffered racist abuse once again. Recently, cricketers from England, West Indies as well as Ireland took a knee to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement but it looks like it was not enough to educate some.

The England World Cup-winner faced the vile abuse on Instagram. And just like the previous times, he once again decided to reveal the abuse to his followers. In the recent vile abuse, the social media troll told the star pacer his jewelry and watch was ‘probably stolen.’

Jofra Archer has been facing racist abuse on social media ever since he made his debut for England last year. And things have taken turn for the worse ever since he broke the quarantine rules during the Test series against West Indies in July. Last year, he had faced abuse in New Zealand too while he was fielding.

Coming to the latest incident, Jofra Archer exposed the troll publicly. The Barbados-born bowler shared a screenshot of a message full of racial abuse sent to him on Instagram from the man named Josh Bell.

The troll tried to mock Jofra Archer about his jewelry and watch stating that he should stop wearing ‘stolen’ things. Archer is generally seen wearing neck chains, earrings, and watches and was wearing them again on Friday during the first ODI against Australia. He also urged his followers to report the account for spreading hate, writing: “Hey guys can you help me to report this page please.”

After the England star put the story, the troll was quick to issue an apology, saying he was drunk and upset with Australia’s collapse against him in the opening ODI against England. Archer posted the screenshot of the apology too, writing: “If you are thinking that when you’re drunk you were always thinking about it.”

“Would like to send my full apologies with huge regret about some outrageous and ridiculous comments posted last night up late and drunk watching the cricket, mad at the Aussies collapse..no excuses.. disgraceful behaviour.. apologies once again,” wrote the troll.
