Kapil Dev All Set to Train Ranveer Singh for a Movie on 1983 World Cup

Ranveer Singh, the charming and talented Bollywood actor, is set to experiment once again. He is all set to portray legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev in the upcoming movie. It’s based on India’s glorious journey during 1983 World Cup in England.

Ranveer has played the prominent roles in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat. The versatile actor gave his best as Peshwa Bajiroa in Bajirao Mastani. Those roles have always been unique to the lead actor, and he is once again set to experiment himself as a sports person.

Ranveer Singh, personally the fan of sports and always seen cheering India from the stadiums. Meanwhile, he is set to play a part of India’s first-ever skipper to bring the world cup glory in 1983.

The contemporary generation hadn’t had a clue on the historic ride of Indian cricket when they clinched their first-ever World Cup.

The movie can be a blockbuster on the silver screen as every cricket enthusiast would love to know the real thing. It was a magical ride under the captaincy of Dev.

A report in a leading daily has claimed that Dev himself who will assist Ranveer in the preparation of the film. According to the report, Dev will be flying to Mumbai in November. It is a month before Ranveer begins shooting for the film.

“Ranveer will start prepping from November. Kabir and he are in touch with Kapil, who will fly down to Mumbai for a week in November to help Ranveer prep for the role. Every actor will be spending quality time with their muse. The members of the ’83 team have come on board as consultants,” Vishnu Induri, one of the co-producers of the film revealed.

However, it would be interesting to see how the talented Ranveer Singh pulls off the legendary role of Kapil Dev regarding the 1983 World Cup.

With a lot of cricket-related movies attaining a massive success, the many are optimistic about the movie’s success.
