Former Australia and KKR spinner Brad Hogg said that the franchise might resolve the differences between captain Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell. The differences, in question, ignited after West Indies star Andre Russell  went onto say in the media that the team took some bad decisions and the atmosphere in unhealthy.

His statement came after KKR failed to qualify in the playoffs and and finished at the sixth spot. However, Dinesh Karthik had later clarified that the issue has been resolved and there is no bad blood.

“What is the one flaw in this team? There is only one – the relationship between Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik. We can’t have Andre Russell come out in the media after the game and say we didn’t make the right decisions. That’s got to be done behind closed doors.

“Brendon McCullum has to make sure he rectifies that relationship, gets on top of it early, because, if there is a little bit of disharmony in this line-up, it can have a ripple effect in a bio-secure environment, and things can get out of hand very quickly,” Hogg said on his YouTube channel.

Russell and Karthik have been a key part of the KKR squad. While Russell has contributed to the fore with his hard-hitting shots. Karthik has helped the side take important decisions with his experience.

Board of Control For Cricket in India (BCCI) released the schedule for IPL 2020 on Sunday. The inaugural match will be played on September 19 between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will get their campaign underway from September 23 against Mumbai Indians.
