KKR Batting Line-Up Weak To Handle Mini-Collapse: Aakash Chopra

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have a mix up young talents and experienced players in the ranks. Shubman Gill has opened with Sunil Narine in the initial IPL 2020 matches but the latter has failed to get going. KKR also have the options of Tom Banton and Rahul Tripathi to open for the side.
Former India cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra has suggested that KKR should open with Rahul Tripathi instead of Sunil Narine. He also added that the currency batting line for Kolkata is weak and might not be able to handle mini-collapse.

“I would say Kolkata Knight Riders should open with Tripathi instead of Narine, and you can make a fast bowler sit out. Because at the moment I am feeling that they have a lot of bowling options, but their batting lineup is a little weak if there is a mini-collapse,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.
Nitish Rana has not played big role for KKR: Aakash Chopra
“Nitish Rana has not played a big knock and neither has Dinesh Karthik, and then it becomes a bit of an issue. It happened in the last match as well, but they got saved as Eoin Morgan played very well, and they barely scraped through to a good total,” he added.
KKR will be high on confidence after registering a resounding victory over Rajasthan Royals in their previous game. Youngsters Shubhman Gill, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi have delivered to the best of their potential for KKR and will be crucial for the side when they take on Delhi Capitals.
