Virat Kohli to miss the Afghanistan Test:
Meanwhile, the dynamic leader will miss the upcoming One-off Test series against Afghanistan. The debutants will play their first-ever Test match at Bengaluru starting from June 14 since earning the status way back in June 2017.
However, Kohli suffered a neck injury during the recently-concluded Twenty20 league. He is now nursing the injury, however, has started with the rehabilitation process.
Moreover, the 29-year-old Kohli will undergo a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru on June 15 to prove his fitness.
Earlier, he missed his stint with Surrey in the County Championship. He decided to play some County cricket to prepare for the upcoming tour of England.
The talismanic run-scorer Kohli had a very bad tour when India toured England, last time. He is desperate to improve the statistics and win the series for India, this time around.
