With Neesham in the bio-secure bubble as part of IPL, he is keen to keep himself engaged. The all-rounder will turn out for Kings XI Punjab.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has given rise for the cricketing brains to install such an environment that keeps the players safe. Hence, the teams and management have to come up with virtual games to keep the players in good spirits.

James Neesham took to his official Twitter account and wrote “Does anybody have contacts for renting a golf simulator for the 2 months while we’re in Dubai? Desperate for something to do in the IPL bubble!”

James Neesham to play in IPL for only the second time:

The 30-year old will play in the cash-rich league for the second time, having played for Delhi Daredevils in 2014. He played only in four games, scoring 42 runs and picking up only one scalp. Kings XI Punjab will play their first game on Sunday against the Delhi Daredevils in Dubai. Neesham was in scintillating form during the 2019 World Cup, mustering 232 runs in 10 games and taking 15 wickets.

The Auckland-born might not likely play all the games as Glenn Maxwell and Nicholas Pooran are likely to get preference ahead of him. After finishing 6th on the points table last year, the franchise overhauled their coaching staff and installed a new skipper in KL Rahul, hoping for better results. Anil Kumble has joined the franchise as a head coach while they have also roped in Wasim Jaffer, Charl Langeveldt, and Jonty Rhodes in their staff.
