Former India captain MS Dhoni once again proved his mettle and gave a befitting reply to his critics with a solid performance in the recently concluded bilateral series against Sri Lanka.
After his recent scintillating form, former Indian wicket-keeper Kiran More also showered praises on Dhoni’s sharp communication skills and quick connectivity with bowlers from behind the stumps stating him as the leader of the pack.
Dhoni’s outstanding communication skills with the bowlers and his quick thinking are often caught on the stump mic leaving the viewers awestruck. The street-smart gloveman doesn’t shy away from helping the bowlers when they don’t learn quickly from their mistakes, and the likes of Chahal, Ravindra Jadeja have been on the receiving end of it.
Talking about Dhoni’s class, Kiran More admitted a wicket-keeper’s partnership with the bowlers is one of the most effective ones in cricket.

“A wicketkeeper’s partnership with the bowlers is one of the most effective ones in cricket. You see Warne-Healy, Warne-Gilchrist. The wicketkeeper is often the leader of the pack as he knows what is happening on the pitch and can tell the bowlers and captain about things to do. Dhoni is very sharp, and he connects quickly with the bowlers. You saw him taking that brilliant catch down the leg side,” More was heard saying while talking to Hindustan Times.
The 55-year-old More further added Dhoni is the best man to guide the youngsters.
“You see the keeper is like a captain. Dhoni is the best man to handle the bowlers, especially the youngsters. He speaks, and you can hear him, it is so clear,” he concluded.
